Join Rachel in Changing the World!

Last year, Rachel (13) sat down with her mom and dad, Jennifer and Matt, and told them she wanted to do something to make a difference. Her dad, a preaching pastor, had been raising money for clean water with others at the church and Rachel decided she wanted to do the same.

Rachel and her dad came up with the idea of making survival bracelets out of para cord and then selling them to raise money. At the same time, they found the web site for The Last Well and began reading about our mission to bring the Gospel and clean water to the entire nation of Liberia by 2020. When she learned about the mission she decided right then and there that she wanted be a part of making history for God.

Rachel said, “I knew a lot of people around the world don’t have clean water and I wanted to do something about it. I also thought it would be really cool to see my community changed by what I’m doing and they would think about others in need.” She added, “I graduate from high school in 2020, and that’s when clean water is supposed to be available to all of the people in Liberia. I also appreciate that they preach the gospel.”

Your move!

One of the things we get most excited about here at The Last Well is when young people, like Rachel, do great things for God. All of Rachel’s sales are happening in her area through local events and regional stores. Right now she’s not set up to ship bracelets around the country, but she’s open to talking to anyone who has a clothing store or other outlets for selling her bracelets and helping her reach her goal.
